The National Board Of Examinations In Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the notification for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET PG) 2026. The application window for MD/MS/PG Diploma admission is from July 01, 2026, to July 21, 2026. Interested candidates holding an MBBS degree must apply online through the official website before the deadline.
Age Limit: As per National Board Of Examinations In Medical Sciences (NBEMS) Rules. Generally, there is no upper age limit for NEET PG, however, candidates are advised to refer to the official information bulletin for any specific age-related clauses or relaxations.
Eligibility: Candidates must possess an MBBS Degree from a university or institute recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) or National Medical Commission (NMC) and must have completed or be completing their 12-month compulsory rotating internship by the prescribed cut-off date mentioned in the official notification. Candidates must also possess a permanent or provisional registration certificate issued by MCI/NMC or State Medical Council (SMC).
Selection Process
The selection for admission to MD/MS/PG Diploma courses through NEET PG 2026 is primarily based on an Entrance Test.
Stage 1: Entrance Examination (NEET PG) – Candidates must appear for the NEET PG examination and secure a minimum qualifying percentile.
Stage 2: Merit List & Counseling – Based on the scores obtained in NEET PG, a merit list will be prepared. Qualified candidates will then be eligible to participate in the All India Quota (AIQ) counseling conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) or State Quota counseling conducted by respective State Counseling Authorities for seat allocation.
How to Apply
Interested candidates who wish to apply for NEET PG 2026 can submit their application online before 21 July 2026.
Step 1: Registration: Visit the official NBEMS website or use the direct ‘Apply Online’ link provided below. Register by providing basic details such as name, mobile number, and email ID.
Step 2: Fill Application Form: Log in with your generated credentials and fill in the detailed application form, including personal, academic, and contact information.
Step 3: Upload Documents: Upload scanned copies of required documents such as recent passport-size photograph, signature, left thumb impression, MBBS Degree Certificate, Internship Completion Certificate, and MCI/NMC/SMC Provisional/Permanent Registration Certificate as per specifications.
Step 4: Pay Application Fee: Pay the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or other available options.
Step 5: Review and Submit: Review all entered details carefully before final submission. After submission, take a printout of the final application form for future reference.

Marking Scheme: +4 for every correct answer, -1 for every incorrect answer. No marks for unattempted questions.
Syllabus: The syllabus for NEET PG comprises subjects taught during the MBBS curriculum. This includes Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, and Clinical subjects.

The last date for online application and fee payment for NEET PG 2026 is 21 July 2026.
The application fee is ₹3500/- for General, OBC, EWS categories and ₹2500/- for SC/ ST/PH categories.
Candidates must hold an MBBS degree from an MCI/NMC recognized institution and have completed or be completing their 12-month compulsory rotating internship by the specified cut-off date. They also need a permanent or provisional registration certificate from MCI/NMC or SMC.
