Age relaxation: SC / ST — 5 years; OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) — 3 years; Persons with Benchmark Disabilities — 10 years, in addition to the relaxation admissible for SC / ST / OBC (NCL) candidates, as per the notification.
AM-Mechanical-II: Full-time Diploma / B.Tech (Mechanical) with ASNT / ISNT Level-II in UT.
AM-Mechanical-III: Full-time Diploma / B.Tech (Mechanical) with ASNT / ISNT Level-II in MPT.
Marks: UR / EWS candidates, and SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwD candidates applying against unreserved posts, need a first class degree or minimum 60% marks in the minimum qualification. Reserved-category candidates need at least 50% marks for reserved posts.
Experience (mandatory, post-qualification, in QA / QC / Testing — destructive / non-destructive): Diploma holders — minimum 8 years; Degree holders — minimum 2 years. Experience in steel plants and rolling, forging or casting industries is preferred.
Selection Process
Written Test — 125 objective questions, 1 mark each, 2.5 hours (Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and Basic Awareness / General Knowledge). Minimum qualifying marks: 50% for UR / EWS and 45% for SC / ST / OBC (NCL) / PwBD candidates applying against reserved posts.
Interview — minimum qualifying marks: 60% for UR / EWS and 50% for reserved-category candidates. Final weightage: Written Test 60%, Interview 40%.
Document verification and medical examination as per RITES rules.

Open the online registration for VC Nos. CL/09/26, CL/10/26 or CL/11/26 and note the Registration Number generated on the form.
Fill in your personal, educational and experience details and upload the required documents (date of birth proof, mark sheets and degree / diploma certificates, experience proof, caste / PwBD certificate if applicable, PAN card and photo ID).
Pay the application fee online under ‘Make Payment’ and download the final application form. An application without successful fee payment is treated as incomplete.
Submit the form before 20/11/2026. Only one application for one vacancy can be submitted, and it cannot be altered once submitted. Do not send hard copies by post.
