Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit as on 01 July 2026:
  • Minimum Age : 18 Years
  • Maximum Age : 35 Years
  • Age relaxation for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) will be applicable as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules for the DELEd program. Please refer to the official notification for specific details.
  • Educational Qualification:
  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream (Arts, Science, Commerce, etc.) from a University recognized by the UGC.
  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks is required in the Bachelor’s Degree for General and OBC candidates.
  • For SC/ST candidates, a minimum of 45% aggregate marks is required in the Bachelor’s Degree.

Selection Process

  • The selection for UP DELEd Admission 2026 will primarily be based on a Merit List (Rank Card).
  • The merit list will be prepared based on the academic performance of candidates in their 10th (High School), 12th (Intermediate), and Bachelor’s Degree examinations.
  • Candidates with higher aggregate percentages in these examinations will be given preference for admission to government and private DELEd colleges across Uttar Pradesh.
  • After the release of the Rank Card, qualified candidates will be called for the counselling process, which will involve document verification and choice filling for colleges.

  • Educational Qualification:
  • Candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with at least 50% marks for General/OBC candidates and 45% marks for SC/ST candidates.
  • The qualifying marks must be obtained by the last date of application.

UP DELEd Admission 2026 : Mode Of Selection
  • The selection of candidates for the UP DELEd course will be based on a Merit List.
  • This merit list will be prepared purely on the basis of academic marks obtained by the candidates in their 10th Standard (High School), 12th Standard (Intermediate), and Graduation (Bachelor’s Degree) examinations.
  • There will be no separate entrance examination for UP DELEd admission.
  • Following the declaration of the merit list and rank card, eligible candidates will be invited for the Counselling Process.
  • During counselling, candidates will undergo Document Verification where all original educational certificates, caste certificates, domicile, etc., will be checked against the submitted application details.
  • Candidates will also be required to fill their college preferences during the counselling rounds. Final admission will depend on merit rank and availability of seats in their preferred colleges.
