The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final result of the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2026 on 2 November 2026. A total of 243 candidates have been recommended for admission to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy. Lohitaksh Mahajan has secured the first rank in the merit lists of all three academies.
This is a result post. Age and eligibility were as per Advertisement No. 04/2026 for CDS (I) 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
The merit lists are prepared on the basis of the written examination held on 12 April 2026 and the Services Selection Board (SSB) interviews.
The results of the medical examination have not been taken into account while preparing the merit lists.
The candidature of all selected candidates is provisional, subject to verification of date of birth and educational qualifications by the Army Headquarters.
Selection Process
Written examination (English, General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics).
SSB interviews conducted by the Services Selection Board, Ministry of Defence.
Final merit lists for IMA, INA and AFA. The final result for the Officers' Training Academy (OTA) course will be declared separately.
Candidates' marks will be published on the UPSC website only after the OTA final result is declared.
