Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: Minimum 21 Years to Maximum 32 Years.
• Date of Birth Range: Candidate’s birth must be between 02 August 1994 and 01 August 2005.

📌 Age Relaxation (as per reservation rules):

• SC / ST: +5 years
• OBC: +3 years
• Defence Personnel: +3 years
• Ex-Servicemen: +5 years
• PwBD: +10 years

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized university.
• Final year/semester students are also eligible, provided they obtain their results by the date specified by UPSC.

Nationality

• Candidate must be a Citizen of India.
• Tibetan Refugees and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) are also eligible if they fulfill the other criteria.

The selection process comprises four main stages:

1. Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
2. Main Examination (Written Descriptive)
3. Personality Test / Interview
4. Medical Examination

How to Apply

• Interested candidates who wish to apply for UPSC Civil Services Examination 2026 can submit their application online before 24 February 2026.

• Navigate to the “Whats New” section and find the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2026 notification.
• Click on the provided “Click here” link to access the online application portal (upsconline.nic.in).
• If you are a new user, select the option to Create Account for registration.
• Read all instructions carefully, accept the declaration, and proceed.
• Fill in all required details accurately and then Login using your credentials.
• Upload your scanned passport-size photograph, signature, and other necessary documents.
• Pay the application fee through Net Banking, Credit/Debit Card, or UPI as applicable.
• Finally, submit the completed application form and take a printout for your records.
• Note – Candidates are requested to carefully read the Official Notification before filling the form. Check Last Date, Age Limit & Education Qualification.
