Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit as on 01 July 2026:
  • Minimum Age : 18 Years
  • Maximum Age : 40 Years
  • Age relaxation will be provided as per UPSSSC regulations for various reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) and other specified categories. Candidates should refer to the official notification for detailed age relaxation rules.
• Educational Qualification:
  • Candidates must have passed at least the Class 10 (High School) examination from any recognized board in India.
  • Alternatively, candidates holding any higher qualification (Intermediate, Graduate, Diploma, etc.) from a recognized university or institution in India are also eligible to apply.

Selection Process

• The selection process for various Group C posts under UPSSSC is primarily a two-stage process:
• Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET): This is a mandatory online examination. Candidates must appear for and qualify the PET to be eligible for subsequent main examinations for Group C posts. The PET score is valid for a specific period (usually one year from the date of result declaration).
• Main Examination / Skill Test / Physical Test: Based on the PET score, candidates are shortlisted for the Main Examination, Skill Test (e.g., typing test), or Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standard Test, as per the requirements of the specific Group C post.
• Document Verification (DV): Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination/Skill Test/Physical Test will be called for document verification. It is crucial to have all original documents ready as per the official notification.
• Medical Examination: A medical examination may be conducted for final selection for certain posts.
• The PET score serves as a preliminary filter, and candidates must perform well in the PET to be considered for further stages of recruitment.

How to Apply

• Interested candidates who wish to apply for the UPSSSC PET 2026 can submit their application online before 01 September 2026.
• Step 1: Visit the official website of UPSSSC (upsssc.gov.in) and navigate to the “Candidate Registration” section for PET 2026.
• Step 2: Complete the registration process by providing basic details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID. A registration number will be generated.
• Step 3: Fill out the detailed application form, providing all required educational qualifications, personal details, and other relevant information.
• Step 4: Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned in the official notification.
• Step 5: Pay the application fee online using Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Card / Mobile Wallet.
• Step 6: Review all entered details carefully before final submission. After successful submission, take a printout of the final application form for future reference.
