Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit As On 01 July 2026
• Minimum Age : 18 Years (For some posts, minimum 21 Years may apply, candidates must refer to the official notification for post-wise age details.) [Clarified from Source: 18 – 21 Years]
• Maximum Age : 40 Years.
• Age Relaxation Extra as per UPSSSC Examination 2026 Rules.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting (Based on PET 2025 Score): Candidates will be initially shortlisted based on their scores in the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 conducted by UPSSSC. Only candidates who meet the cut-off announced by the Commission will be eligible for the subsequent stages.
• Written Examination: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a written examination. This exam is typically objective-type, covering general knowledge, reasoning, Hindi, and subject-specific knowledge related to sports. Detailed information regarding the exam pattern, syllabus, and marks distribution will be provided in the official notification.
• Physical Standard Test (PST) / Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Sports Trial: Given the nature of sports-related posts, candidates may be required to undergo a Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and/or specialized sports trials relevant to their chosen post and sport discipline. These tests assess physical fitness and practical sports skills.
• Document Verification (DV): Candidates who qualify the written exam and any applicable physical/sports tests will be called for document verification. They must present all original educational certificates, experience certificates, caste certificates (if applicable), age proof, photo ID, and other relevant documents as specified in the notification.
• Medical Examination: A final medical examination will be conducted to ensure that selected candidates meet the prescribed health and physical standards required for the respective posts.
