The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the Provisional Answer Key for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Tier I Examination 2024. Candidates who appeared for the examination can now check their answer key and submit objections, if any, through the official portal. The objection window is open for a limited period, so candidates are advised to check and raise objections promptly.

How to Check Answer Key
Step 1 : Visit the Important Links section below and click on the “Download Answer Key” direct link.
Step 2 : A new page will open asking for your login credentials. Enter your Roll Number and Password / Date of Birth as per your admit card.
Step 3 : Click on the ‘Submit’ or ‘Login’ button to proceed.
Step 4 : Your provisional answer key along with your response sheet will be displayed on the screen.
Step 5 : Review your answers carefully. If you wish to raise an objection, note down the question ID and correct option according to you.
Step 6 : Download and take a printout of your answer key and response sheet for future reference and for raising objections within the stipulated time frame.
Exam Pattern
The SSC CGL Tier I exam consists of four sections, with a total of 100 questions carrying 200 marks.
General Intelligence & Reasoning: 25 Questions, 50 Marks
General Awareness: 25 Questions, 50 Marks
Quantitative Aptitude: 25 Questions, 50 Marks
English Comprehension: 25 Questions, 50 Marks
There is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. This makes accuracy crucial.
The exam duration is 1 hour (60 minutes).
The paper is set in both English and Hindi, except for the English Comprehension section.

The SSC CGL Tier I Examination 2024 was conducted on 10/08/2024.
The provisional answer key for the SSC CGL Tier I 2024 exam was released on 18/08/2024.
The last date to raise objections against the provisional answer key for SSC CGL Tier I 2024 is 22/08/2024.
Candidates need to pay an objection fee of ₹ 100/- per question for each objection raised against the answer key.

The marking scheme for SSC CGL Tier I is +2 marks for every correct answer and -0.50 marks for every incorrect answer.
