Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Age : 18 Years
  • Maximum Age : 30 Years
  • Age will be calculated as on 01 July 2026.
  • Age relaxation will be applicable as per Assam Rifles Recruitment Rules for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/Ex-Servicemen).
  • Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess Class 10th or 12th pass certificates, along with relevant ITI certificates or Diplomas in the respective technical trades, as detailed for each specific post. Selection Process

  • Written Test: The first stage involves a Computer Based Test (CBT) or OMR-based written examination. It will assess candidates’ general knowledge, numerical aptitude, reasoning ability, and English language skills. The syllabus typically covers topics relevant to the specific trades.
  • Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates qualifying the written exam will undergo PST to check their physical measurements (height, chest, weight) against prescribed standards. This will be followed by PET, which includes a running test (e.g., 5 km run for males and 1.6 km run for females within stipulated time limits) to assess physical fitness and endurance.
  • Skill Test (Trade Test): This is a mandatory qualifying stage where candidates will be assessed on their practical knowledge and skills related to the trade they have applied for. For example, a Welder might perform a welding task, while an Electrician might troubleshoot a circuit.
  • Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will need to present all original educational, caste, domicile, age proof, experience certificates, and other relevant documents for verification.
