Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) has released the notification for the Bihar B.Ed Common Entrance Test (CET-B.Ed) 2025, for admission to 2-year Regular, Distance, and Shiksha Shastri courses. Online applications commence from 04 April 2025, with the last date to apply being 02 May 2025. Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit:
Minimum Age: 21 Years (As per common B.Ed CET norms).
Maximum Age: N/A (No upper age limit specified in the notification).
B.Ed. Programme Eligibility:
Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in fields like Science, Social Science, Humanities, or Commerce.
Those with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology, specializing in Science or Mathematics, must have a minimum of 55% marks.
Equivalent qualifications are also accepted.
Shiksha Shastri (B.Ed. in Sanskrit) Course Eligibility:
Candidates must have 50% marks in a Bachelor’s degree with Sanskrit as the main subject AND a Master’s degree in Sanskrit or Acharya in traditional Sanskrit Shastra.
Alternatively, those who have passed Shastri (B.A. including Sanskrit) with 50% marks and have completed a 2-year Acharya (MA Sanskrit) course must also pass a Bridge Course.
Marks from the first year of Acharya/MA will not be considered in the final percentage calculation.
Total Seats: The number of seats for B.Ed. and Shiksha Shastri courses will be as per the intake capacity of participating colleges recognized by NCTE in Bihar.
Selection Process
Entrance Examination: All eligible candidates must appear for the Common Entrance Test (CET-B.Ed.) 2025. This will be an objective-type written examination designed to assess general knowledge, reasoning ability, general English/Hindi comprehension, and teaching aptitude. Performance in this test is the primary basis for selection.
Result Declaration: Based on the marks obtained in the CET-B.Ed. 2025, a state-wide merit list will be prepared and published by LNMU.
Counselling Process: Qualified candidates, as per the merit list, will be invited to participate in the online counselling process. During counselling, candidates will register, choose their preferred B.Ed. colleges/institutions (Regular/Distance/Shiksha Shastri) based on their rank and availability of seats. Document verification will be a mandatory step during this stage, where candidates must present all original educational and other relevant certificates.

Bihar CET B.Ed Online Form 2025 : Documents Required for Online Application
Photo: A passport-sized color photograph (scanned) with a white or light-colored background. Ensure it is recent and clearly shows your face.
Signature: Scanned image of your signature on a white background, done using a black or blue pen.
Education Certificates: Scanned copies of Mark Sheets and Passing Certificates for:
10th (Matric) Standard
12th (Intermediate) Standard
Bachelor’s Degree (Graduation)
Master’s Degree (Post-Graduation, if applicable and used for eligibility)
Caste Certificate: For candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/EBC/BC), a valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority of the Government of Bihar.
Income Certificate: For candidates applying under the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category, a valid income and asset certificate.
Category Certificate: For special categories such as Differently Abled Persons (DAP/PWD) or Ex-servicemen, relevant supporting documents.

The application fee is ₹ 1000/- for General candidates, ₹ 750/- for EWS/BC/EBC/Women, and ₹ 500/- for SC/ST candidates.
