Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: As per DUVASU Admission Rules 2025. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for detailed age criteria and relaxations.
• B.V.Sc & A.H Programme: Candidates who have passed or are appearing in 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English are eligible.
• M.V.Sc and Ph.D (Veterinary Science) Programme:
  • For M.V.Sc, candidates must have passed or be appearing in B.V.Sc. & A.H.
  • For Ph.D (Veterinary Science), a M.V.Sc. degree in the relevant subject is required.
• B.Tech Biotechnology: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology/Mathematics, and English.
  • General/OBC category: Minimum 60% marks
  • SC/ST category: Minimum 55% marks
1. Bachelor of Technology (Dairy Technology): Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics, and English.
   • General/OBC: Minimum 60% marks
   • SC/ST: Minimum 55% marks
2. Bachelor of Fisheries Science: Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
   • General/OBC: At least 60% marks
   • SC/ST: At least 55% marks
3. M.Sc (Biotechnology) / M.V.Sc (Biotechnology) / Ph.D (Biotechnology):
   • For M.Sc, a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Biological Sciences is required.
   • For M.V.Sc, a degree in Veterinary Science is required.
   • For M.Tech (if applicable), a 4-year Engineering degree with Biology or a related subject studied at 10+2 or later.
   • For Ph.D, candidates need a Master’s degree (M.Sc/M.Tech in a relevant science field or M.V.Sc).
   • General/OBC candidates must have at least 60% marks, and SC/ST candidates need 55%.
4. Diploma in Veterinary Pharmacy & Livestock Extension in Institute of Para-Veterinary Sciences: Candidates who have passed or are appearing in 10+2 (Intermediate) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English are eligible.
   • General/OBC: Minimum 50% marks
   • SC/ST: Minimum 45% marks

Selection Process

• Entrance Exam: Admission to various UG, PG, Diploma, and PhD programs is primarily based on the candidate’s performance in the respective entrance examinations: UGEE (Undergraduate Entrance Examination), DEE (Diploma Entrance Examination), and PGEE (Postgraduate Entrance Examination).
• Merit-Based Admission: A merit list will be prepared based on the scores obtained in the entrance examination. Candidates will be ranked according to their performance.
• Reservation Policy: Reservation for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and other special categories will be applied as per the rules and regulations of the Uttar Pradesh Government and DUVASU.
• Counseling Programme: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a counseling session. During counseling, candidates will be allotted seats in their preferred courses/colleges based on their merit rank, choices filled, and availability of seats. Document verification will also be conducted during this stage.
