Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria (As on 01 August 2025)

• Minimum Age : 21 Years. (For All Categories)
• Maximum Age :
• 37 Years. (Unreserved/General Male)
• 40 Years. (Unreserved/General Female)
• 40 Years. (BC/EBC Male & Female)
• 42 Years. (SC/ST Male & Female)
• Age Relaxation : Age relaxation will be provided as per Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC) regulations for reserved categories. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for detailed rules.

Educational Qualification: ASI (Technical)

• Candidates must have successfully passed a 3-year Diploma with at least 50% marks (or 45% marks for SC/ST candidates) from a State or Central Government recognized Polytechnic Institute.
• The diploma must be in one of the following engineering disciplines:
• Electronics & Communication Engineering
• Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering
• Information Technology (IT)
• Electrical & Electronics Engineering

Selection Process for Bihar Police BPSSC ASI (Technical) Recruitment 2026

• The selection process for the ASI (Technical) posts involves multiple stages to assess candidates’ written knowledge, physical fitness, and document authenticity.
• 1. Preliminary Written Examination:
  • This will be an objective-type examination.
  • It serves as a screening test; marks obtained in this exam generally do not count towards the final merit list.
  • Candidates will be shortlisted for the Main Written Examination based on their performance in the Prelims.
  • Tip: Focus on General Knowledge and Current Affairs as these are usually key components. Practice mock tests to improve speed and accuracy.
• 2. Main Written Examination:
  • Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Exam will appear for the Main Exam.
  • This examination typically consists of two papers:
    • Paper I: General Hindi (Qualifying in nature)
    • Paper II: General Studies, Science, Mathematics, and Reasoning (Marks from this paper usually determine the final merit).

• 3. Physical Eligibility Test (PET):

   • Successful candidates from the PET stage will undergo document verification.
