The Bihar Vidhan Parishad has officially released the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) Result for the Security Guard and other various posts under Advertisement Nos. 01/2023, 02/2023, 03/2023 & 04/2023. Candidates who appeared for the PET held from April 21-28, 2026, can now check their results using their login credentials. Qualified candidates will proceed to the next stages of the selection process.

Reporter (16 Posts) : Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Required Hindi stenography speed of 150 words per minute and typing speed of 35 words per minute in both Hindi and English. Also requires a computer certificate (AICTE/DOEACC/NIELIT ‘O’ Level equivalent) or a Computer Proficiency Test.
Assistant (30 Posts) : Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Required typing speed of 30 words per minute in both Hindi and English and a computer course certificate (AICTE/DOEACC/NIELIT).
Assistant Caretaker (01 Post) : Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Data Entry Operator (DEO) (40 Posts) : Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) from a recognized board. Required typing speed of 8000 key depressions per hour (KDPH) on computer.
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) (09 Posts) : Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) from a recognized board. Required typing speed of 30 words per minute in both Hindi and English.
Security Guard (56 Posts) : Candidates must have passed Intermediate (10+2) from a recognized board.
Physical Standards (Male): Height 167.5 cm (2.4 cm relaxation for Terai region), Chest 76.5–81 cm, Vision 6/12 without glasses.
Physical Standards (Female): Height 154.6 cm (2.4 cm relaxation for Terai region), Vision 6/12 without glasses.
Physical Fitness: Candidates must be physically fit and free from diseases.
Running Test: Male candidates must complete 1.6 km run in 6 minutes; Female candidates must complete 1 km run in 6 minutes.
Preference: Given to candidates with NCC ‘C’ certificate or those who have represented the state, country, or university in sports.
Driver (04 Posts) : Candidates must have passed 10th (Matriculation) from a recognized board and possess a valid driving license (LMV/HMV).
Office Attendant (Watchman) (01 Post) : Candidates must have passed Matric (10th) or equivalent from a recognized board. Required working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages and ability to ride a bicycle.
Office Attendant (Faras) (06 Posts) : Candidates must have passed Matric (10th) or equivalent from a recognized board. Required working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages and ability to ride a bicycle.
Office Attendant (Sweeper) (03 Posts) : Candidates must have passed Matric (10th) or equivalent from a recognized board. Required working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages and ability to ride a bicycle.
Office Attendant (Mali) (04 Posts) : Candidates must have passed Matric (10th) or equivalent from a recognized board. Required working knowledge of both Hindi and English languages and ability to ride a bicycle.

Written Examination : The initial stage for most posts, assessing candidates’ knowledge and aptitude.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST) : Mandatory for posts like Security Guard, evaluating physical fitness and adherence to specified standards. The result for this stage is now declared.
Driving Test : Specifically for candidates applying for Driver posts, to assess their driving proficiency.
