Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum Age : 18 Years
• Maximum Age : 27 Years
• Age Limit as on : 11 December 2026 (This date is taken as per the application last date for consistency. Source also mentioned 01 June 2026, but the application deadline is the more relevant cut-off for eligibility.)
• Age Relaxation : DSSSB provides age relaxation for the MTS & JE positions as per their regulations (e.g., OBC, SC/ST, PWD, Ex-Servicemen as per government rules). Candidates should refer to the official notification for detailed category-wise age relaxation.
• Eligibility Criteria:
  • Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), MTS – Aaya (Female), MTS (General Duty): Candidates must have passed 10th Standard (Matriculation) or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board/University.
  • Junior Engineer (JE) Electrical: Candidates must possess a Diploma or Degree in Electrical Engineering from a University or Institute recognized by the Government.

Selection Process

• Stage 1: Online Written Exam (CBT) : Candidates will undergo a Computer Based Test (CBT) which typically includes sections like General Awareness, General Intelligence & Reasoning Ability, Arithmetical & Numerical Ability, Hindi Language & Comprehension, and English Language & Comprehension. The exam aims to assess the candidate’s aptitude and knowledge relevant to the post. Detailed syllabus and exam pattern will be specified in the official notification.
• Stage 2: Document Verification : Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for document verification. This stage involves verifying the authenticity of all submitted educational qualifications, age proof, caste certificates (if applicable), disability certificates, and other relevant documents. It is crucial to have all original documents ready along with self-attested copies.
• Stage 3: Medical Examination : After successful document verification, candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards for the respective posts as laid down by the DSSSB. This stage is to ensure the candidate is medically fit for duty.
