Online applications open on 10 November 2026 and close on 5 December 2026. Age Limit
Minimum age 18 years and maximum age 45 years as on 01/01/2026.
Age relaxation, if any, is as per the notification and Himachal Pradesh Government rules.
Eligibility Criteria
Education (most subjects): Master's degree in the subject with at least 50% marks, and B.Ed. with at least 50% marks.
TET: Passed Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted by the H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala, or another agency authorised by the Government.
English / Mathematics Teacher: M.A. / M.Sc. in the subject with at least 50% marks at graduation and at least 55% marks in the subject at graduation level, and B.Ed. with the subject as a compulsory subject.
SC, ST, OBC and PwD candidates of Himachal Pradesh get up to 5% relaxation in the minimum marks required (except for English and Mathematics posts, as per the notification).
Teachers of Hindi, Political Science, History and Economics also need proficiency in teaching Hindi and English.
All qualifications must be held by the closing date, 05/12/2026. Subject-wise eligibility is given in Advertisement No. 14/2026.
Selection Process
Written Test — minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General candidates and 40% for SC / ST / OBC / Wards of Freedom Fighters.
Merit list preparation and document verification as per the notification.
