Selection Process

  • Preliminary Written Examination (For Office Assistant & Officer Scale-I): This is the first stage for these posts, typically consisting of Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. Candidates must qualify in this stage to be eligible for the Mains Exam.
  • Mains Written Examination (For Office Assistant & Officer Scale-I): Candidates who clear Prelims will appear for Mains. This exam usually includes Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English/Hindi, Computer Knowledge, and General Awareness.
  • Single Online Examination (For Officer Scale-II & III): For Officers Scale-II and III, there will be a single online examination. For General Banking Officers, it covers Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, English/Hindi, Computer Knowledge, and General Awareness. For Specialist Officers (Scale-II), it includes Professional Knowledge relevant to their field along with Reasoning, English/Hindi, Computer Knowledge, and General Awareness.
  • Interview (For Officer Scale- I, II & III Only): Candidates who qualify in the Mains Exam (for Scale-I) or Single Online Exam (for Scale-II & III) will be called for an interview conducted by IBPS and participating RRBs. Performance in the interview plays a crucial role in final selection.
  • Document Verification & Medical Examination: Post-interview, provisionally selected candidates will undergo document verification to confirm their eligibility as per the official notification. A medical examination will also be conducted as per bank norms.

IBPS RRB 15th Recruitment 2026 : Post-wise Eligibility Criteria
  • Office Assistant (Multipurpose):
    • Candidates must have completed their Graduation in any discipline from any recognized University/institute.
    • Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB.
    • Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer.
    • Officer Scale-I (Assistant Manager):
      • Candidates must have completed their Graduation in any discipline from any recognized University/institute.
      • Preference will be given to candidates having a degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics or Accountancy.
      • Proficiency in local language as prescribed by the participating RRB.
      • Desirable: Working knowledge of Computer.
      1. Officer Scale-II (General Banking Officer):

        • Candidates must have completed their Graduation in any discipline with minimum 50% marks from any recognized University/institute.
        • Preference will be given to candidates having a degree in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
        • 2 years experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution.
      2. Officer Scale-II (Chartered Accountant – CA):
        • Candidates must have passed CA Exam from ICAI India.
        • 1 year experience as a Chartered Accountant.
      3. Officer Scale-II (Law Officer):
        • Candidates must have a Degree from a recognized University in Law or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
        • 2 years experience as an advocate or should have worked as Law Officer in Banks or Financial Institutions for a period of not less than two years.
      4. Officer Scale-II (Marketing Officer):
        • Candidates having MBA Degree in marketing from a recognized University.
        • 1 year experience in the relevant field.
      5. Officer Scale-II (Treasury Manager):
        • Candidates having a degree in CA or MBA Degree in Finance from a recognized University.
        • 1 year experience in the relevant field.
      6. Officer Scale-II (Agriculture Officer):
        • Candidates having Graduation Degree in Agriculture / Horticulture / Dairy / Animal Husbandry / Veterinary Science / Agricultural Engineering / Pisciculture from a Recognized University / Institute.
        • 2 Years experience in the relevant field.
      7. Officer Scale-II (Information Technology – IT Officer):
        • Candidates must have a Graduation Degree in Electronics / Communications / Computer Science / Information Technology with Minimum 50% Marks from any recognized University / Institute.
        • Desirable: Certificate in ASP, PHP, C++, Java, VB, VC, OCP etc.
        • 1 year experience in the relevant field.
      8. Officer Scale-III (Senior Manager):
        • Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
        • Preference will be given to candidates having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.
