Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit (as on 01 July 2026):
  • Minimum Age : 20 Years
  • Maximum Age : 30 Years
  • Age relaxation for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen) will be applicable as per Government of India rules and IBPS regulations. Candidates are advised to refer to the detailed official notification for specific relaxation details.
• Eligibility for Specialist Officer (SO) Post:
  • Candidates must hold a 4-year Engineering / Technology Degree OR a Post Graduate Degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Computer Application, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics Telecommunication, Electronics Communication, or Electronics Instrumentation from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Alternatively, candidates who have passed the DOEACC “B” Level Exam are also eligible for certain Specialist Officer posts, typically IT Officer. Detailed post-wise eligibility will be specified in the full notification.

Selection Process

• Preliminary Written Examination: This is the first stage, qualifying in nature. Candidates must clear this exam to proceed to the Mains. It typically assesses Reasoning, English Language, and Quantitative Aptitude/General Awareness.
• Main Written Examination: This exam will test professional knowledge relevant to the Specialist Officer post (e.g., IT Officer, Agricultural Field Officer). Marks from the Mains exam are considered for shortlisting for the interview.
• Interview: Candidates who qualify in the Main Examination will be shortlisted for a Common Interview conducted by the Participating Banks and co-ordinated by IBPS. The interview assesses a candidate’s communication skills, personality, and general banking awareness.
• Document Verification (DV): After the interview, provisionally shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification. It is crucial to have all original documents ready, including educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates (if applicable), and other relevant testimonials. Any discrepancy can lead to disqualification.
• Medical Examination: Candidates may also be required to undergo a medical examination as per the bank’s requirements and standards for physical fitness for the specified post.
