Indian Airforce Agniveer Vayu 02/2026 : Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility for Science Subjects Candidates:
10+2 (Intermediate) Qualification:
Candidates must have successfully passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English as core subjects.
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in total and 50% marks specifically in English is mandatory.
3-Year Diploma in Engineering:
Candidates possessing a 3-year Diploma in any of the following engineering branches are eligible: Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Computer Science, Instrumentation Technology, or Information Technology (IT).
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the diploma course and 50% marks in English (if English is a subject in the Diploma Course) is required. If English is not a subject in the Diploma, then 50% in English in 10th or 12th is considered.
2-Year Vocational Course:
Candidates who have completed a 2-year vocational course are eligible, provided they had Physics and Mathematics as non-vocational subjects.
A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the vocational course and 50% marks specifically in English is compulsory.
Indian Airforce Agniveer Vayu 02/2026 : Mode Of Selection
Online Written Examination (Phase-I): This is the first stage, evaluating candidates on subjects like English, Physics, and Mathematics (for Science subjects) and English, Reasoning & General Awareness (for other than Science subjects).
Physical Fitness Test (PFT) (Phase-II): Candidates who clear Phase-I proceed to PFT, which includes running (1.6 Km in 6 minutes 30 seconds), push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
Adaptability Test I (Phase-II): Assesses a candidate’s suitability for the Air Force environment, often involving dynamic situational awareness tests.
Adaptability Test II (Phase-II): Evaluates a candidate’s ability to adapt to military life, including communication skills and general awareness.
Medical Examination: Comprehensive medical tests conducted at Air Force hospitals to ensure candidates meet the required physical and medical standards.
Final Merit List & Provisional Select List (PSL): Based on performance in all stages, a merit list is prepared, leading to the release of the Provisional Select List (PSL). This list contains names of candidates provisionally selected for enrollment.
Enrollment List: The final enrollment list is published after the verification of all documents and medical fitness.
