Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

  • Age Limit (as of Airforce Agniveer Rules for Intake 02/2026):
    • For 10+2 (Intermediate) Candidates:
      • Must be unmarried.
      • Date of birth should be between 2 July 2005 and 2 July 2009 (both dates inclusive).
      • At the time of enrolment, the candidate’s age should not exceed 21 years.
      • For Candidates with Diploma/B.Sc in Pharmacy:
        • Unmarried candidates: Born between 2 July 2002 and 2 July 2007 (both dates inclusive).
        • Married candidates: Born between 2 July 2002 and 2 July 2005 (both dates inclusive).
        • At the time of enrolment, the candidate’s age should not exceed 24 years.
    • Age Relaxation: Extra as per rules of Airforce Agniveer Intake 02/2026 Bharti 2025.
    • For Medical Assistant Trade (10+2 candidates):
      • Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board.
      • Secured at least 50% marks overall and 50% marks in English.
      • OR
      • Passed a 2-year vocational course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (as non-vocational subjects) from a recognized board.
      • Secured at least 50% marks overall and 50% marks in English.
      • For Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy candidates):
        • Passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, scoring at least 50% marks overall and 50% in English.
        • In addition, must hold a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks.
        • Must have valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment.

Selection Process

  • Written Examination (Phase-I): Candidates undergo an online written test comprising subjects like English, Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA), and Physics/Chemistry/Biology depending on the trade.
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT) (Phase-II): Shortlisted candidates from Phase-I proceed to PFT, which includes running, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats. Candidates must meet specified physical standards.
  • Adaptability Test II (AT-II) (Phase-II): This test assesses a candidate’s suitability for the Air Force environment and ability to adapt to military life.
  • Medical Examination (Phase-II): Qualified candidates undergo a thorough medical examination by IAF medical authorities to ensure they meet the prescribed medical standards. This includes various tests like blood tests, urine tests, X-rays, ECG, and specific checks for medical assistant trade.
  • Provisional Select List (PSL): Based on performance in all selection stages and medical fitness, a Provisional Select List is published. Inclusion in the PSL is not a guarantee of enrolment.
  • Final Enrolment: Final enrolment is subject to availability of vacancies, meeting all eligibility criteria, satisfactory character and antecedent verification, and medical fitness as per IAF standards.

IAF Group Y Medical Assistant Airmen 02/2026 : Eligibility Criteria Details
  • Eligibility for Medical Assistant Trade (10+2 candidates):
    • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from a recognized board.
    • They must have secured at least 50% overall marks in aggregate.
    • Additionally, they must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in English.
    • Alternatively, candidates who have passed a 2-year vocational course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (as non-vocational subjects) from a recognized board are also eligible, provided they meet the same 50% overall marks and 50% marks in English criteria.
    • Eligibility for Medical Assistant Trade (Diploma / B.Sc in Pharmacy candidates):
      • Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English, securing at least 50% marks overall and 50% marks in English.
      • In addition to the 10+2 qualification, they must hold a Diploma or B.Sc in Pharmacy with a minimum of 50% marks.
      • Crucially, they must possess a valid registration with the State Pharmacy Council or the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment.

IAF Group Y Medical Assistant Airmen 02/2026 : Mode Of Selection
  • Written Examination (Phase-I): The initial stage involves an online test to assess knowledge in English, Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA), and Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
  • Physical Fitness Test (PFT) (Phase-II): Candidates clearing the written exam proceed to physical fitness tests including running, push-ups, sit-ups, and squats.
  • Adaptability Test II (AT-II) (Phase-II): This test evaluates a candidate’s mental and physical ability to adapt to the challenging environment of the Indian Air Force.
  • Medical Examination (Phase-II): A comprehensive medical examination is conducted to ensure candidates meet the stringent health standards required for Airmen in the Medical Assistant trade.
