The Join Indian Army (Bhartiya Sena) has issued a short notice for the Short Service Commission (SSC) Technical 68th Men April 2027 Batch recruitment, offering 350 tentative positions. Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria As On 01 April 2027
Minimum Age : 20 Years
Maximum Age : 27 Years
Candidates Born Between 01 April 2000 to 31 March 2007 (both dates inclusive).
Maximum Age for Widows of Defence Personnel who Died in Harness : 35 Years.
Age relaxation for other categories will be provided as per Indian Army regulations.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a Bachelor Degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in a related discipline from any university/college recognized by AICTE. Specific engineering streams required will be detailed in the full official notification.
Selection Process
Shortlisting of Applications: Candidates’ applications will be shortlisted based on their academic performance (marks obtained in Engineering Degree). Higher academic scores generally increase the chances of being shortlisted for the SSB Interview.
SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a five-day Service Selection Board (SSB) Interview. This comprehensive assessment evaluates a candidate’s officer-like qualities through various psychological tests, group tasks, and personal interviews. It consists of Stage I (Officer Intelligence Rating & Picture Perception and Description Test) and Stage II (Psychology Tests, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Interview, and Conference).
Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the SSB Interview will undergo document verification. It is mandatory to present all original educational certificates, mark sheets, age proof, identity proof, and other relevant documents as specified in the official notification. Any discrepancy can lead to disqualification.
Medical Examination: Finally, recommended candidates will undergo a thorough medical examination by a Medical Board. Candidates must meet the prescribed physical and medical standards of the Indian Army to be considered for final selection.
