Application Fee

• For All Candidates : ₹ 0/-
• No application fee is required for any category of candidate.
• Payment Mode: Online applications require no fee payment.

Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit (as on 01 July 2027):
  • Minimum Age : 16.5 Years
  • Maximum Age : 19.5 Years
  • This means candidates must be born between 02 January 2008 and 01 January 2011 (both dates inclusive).
• Age Relaxation: As per Indian Army regulations for specific categories (if any, will be detailed in official notification).
• Candidates must have appeared in JEE Mains 2026, as it is now mandatory for this entry.
• They should also have passed the 10+2 (Intermediate) examination or its equivalent.
• A minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM stream) from a recognized Education Board is compulsory.

Selection Process

• Shortlisting of Applications: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their JEE (Mains) 2026 score. A higher JEE (Mains) score significantly increases the chances of being called for an SSB interview. The cut-off will be decided by the Recruiting Directorate.
• SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will receive an email for choosing their SSB interview dates at designated Service Selection Boards (e.g., Allahabad, Bhopal, Bangalore, Jalandhar, Kapurthala). The interview spans 5 days and consists of two stages:
  • Stage I: Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests and Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP&DT). Candidates clearing Stage I proceed to Stage II.
  • Stage II: Group Testing Officer (GTO) tasks, Psychology Tests, Command Task, Individual Obstacles, Personal Interview, and Conference.
• Document Verification: During the SSB interview, candidates must produce all original documents including educational certificates (10th, 12th, JEE Mains scorecard), age proof, identity proof, and other relevant documents as specified in the official notification. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
• Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the SSB interview. Candidates who are medically fit and rank high enough in the merit list will be issued joining letters for pre-commission training at OTA Gaya.
