Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Age : 18 Years.
  • Maximum Age : 22 Years.
  • Age Limit as on Official Notification:
    • Navik GD -01/2027 : Candidates must be born between 01 November 2005 to 01 May 2009 (Both dates inclusive).
    • Yantrik 01/2027 : Candidates must be born between 01 May 2005 to 01 May 2009 (Both dates inclusive).
    • Navik DB -02/2027 : Candidates must be born between 01 November 2005 to 01 October 2009 (Both dates inclusive).
    • Age Relaxation as per Indian Coast Guard Navik GD & Yantrik Recruitment Rules.

Selection Process

  • Stage I (Written Examination): This is the first stage where candidates undergo a computer-based online test. The syllabus and exam pattern vary as per the post (Navik GD, Navik DB, Yantrik).
  • Stage II (Physical Fitness Test, Document Verification & Medical Examination): Candidates who qualify Stage I are called for Stage II. This involves a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), initial document verification, and a preliminary medical examination. PFT includes running, squat ups, and push-ups.
  • Stage III (Document Verification, Final Medical & Training Allocation): Candidates clearing Stage II proceed to Stage III. This involves detailed document verification, a final medical examination at INS Chilka, and subsequent allocation for basic training.

Indian Coast Guard Navik GD & Yantrik Recruitment 2026 : Education Qualification
  • Navik GD: Candidates who have passed Class 12th (Intermediate) examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects from a board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • Navik Domestic Branch (DB): Candidates who have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) examination from a board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
  • Yantrik: Candidates who have passed Class 10th (Matriculation) from a COBSE-recognized board AND completed a 3 or 4-year Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering approved by AICTE. OR
