For Primary School Teachers (Class 1-5): Candidates typically require a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (as per NCTE norms). Other qualifications like Senior Secondary with B.El.Ed or Diploma in Education (Special Education), or a Bachelor’s Degree with B.Ed are also generally accepted.
For Secondary School Teachers (Class 6-8): Candidates generally require a Bachelor’s Degree and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) OR a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). Other equivalent qualifications like Senior Secondary with a 4-year B.El.Ed/BA B.Ed/BSc B.Ed, or a Bachelor’s Degree with B.Ed (Special Education) are usually accepted.

Selection Process
