The Odisha Uniformed Services Staff Selection Commission (OUSSSC) has released Advertisement No. 01-CRE-2026/OUSSSC dated 23 October 2026 for 7,268 vacancies under the Combined Uniformed Services (Below Graduate Level) Examination, 2026. The posts are Constable (Civil), Constable (Communication), Constable OISF, Firefighter, Firefighting Driver, Driver PMT and Traffic Constable. Online applications started on 23 October 2026 and close on 12 November 2026 at 10:00 PM.
The ₹ 500/- examination fee is refunded to candidates who actually appear in the written examination, subject to the conditions in the official advertisement.
Age limits are calculated as on 01/01/2026: Constable (Civil) — 18 to 26 years; Constable (Communication) — 18 to 23 years; Constable OISF — 18 to 23 years; Firefighter — 18 to 25 years; Traffic Constable — 21 to 32 years.
Age relaxation is applicable for SC / ST / SEBC / Women and other categories as per the advertisement and Odisha Government rules.
Eligibility Criteria
Constable (Civil): Higher Secondary (+2) from CHSE Odisha or an equivalent recognised board.
Constable (Communication): +2 Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, or a three-year Engineering Diploma in a relevant discipline.
Constable OISF: Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent from BSE Odisha or a recognised board.
Firefighter: Higher Secondary (+2) or equivalent.
Language: Every candidate must be able to speak, read and write Odia and must produce an Odia pass certificate.

Selection Process
Written Examination for all posts.
Physical Measurement Test / Physical Efficiency Test for candidates who qualify in the written examination.
Document Verification and Medical Examination as prescribed in the advertisement.

Keep a printout of the submitted application for future reference.
There are 7,268 vacancies — 4,219 Constable (Civil), 2,212 Constable OISF and 837 across Constable (Communication), Firefighter, Firefighting Driver, Driver PMT and Traffic Constable posts.
Online applications close on 12 November 2026 at 10:00 PM. The fee can be paid till 13 November 2026 at 10:00 PM.
The fee is ₹ 500/- for UR / SEBC candidates. SC and ST candidates are exempted. The fee is refunded to candidates who appear in the written examination, as per the advertisement.
Constable (Civil) needs +2 (Higher Secondary) pass, Constable (Communication) needs +2 Science or a three-year Engineering Diploma, and Constable OISF needs Matriculation (Class 10) pass. All candidates must be able to speak, read and write Odia.
