• Fee Refund Policy (Clarified): The processing fee of ₹600/- is non-refundable. For Female, SC, ST, and PH candidates, the amount paid above the processing fee will be refunded.
  • JPA / Technician ‘B’ (₹600 total): No refund (₹600 – ₹600 = ₹0).
  • Technical Assistant (₹700 total): ₹100 will be refunded (₹700 – ₹600 = ₹100).
  • Officer Posts (₹900 total): ₹300 will be refunded (₹900 – ₹600 = ₹300).

• Age Relaxation : SCL provides age relaxation as per Government of India rules and their regulations for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-servicemen). Please refer to the official notification for detailed age relaxation norms.

Selection Process

• 1. CBT Examination (Computer Based Test): This is the initial screening stage. Candidates will typically be tested on General Knowledge, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and subject-specific knowledge relevant to the post applied for. The exam pattern and syllabus will be detailed in the official notification.
  • Tip: Familiarize yourself with the detailed syllabus and exam pattern from the official notification. Practice mock tests to improve speed and accuracy.
• 2. Skill Test / Interview: Depending on the post, candidates qualifying the CBT may proceed to a Skill Test or Interview.
  • For Junior Personal Assistant: A Stenography Skill Test will be conducted to assess typing and shorthand abilities as per specified speeds.
  • For Technical Posts (Technical Assistant, Technician ‘B’): A trade/skill test may be conducted to evaluate practical knowledge and skills in the respective engineering discipline or ITI trade.
  • For Officer Posts (Administrative, Accounts, Purchase & Stores Officer): A personal interview will be conducted to assess communication skills, leadership qualities, domain knowledge, and overall suitability for the managerial roles.
  • Tip: For skill tests, consistent practice is crucial. For interviews, prepare common HR questions, brush up on your domain knowledge, and practice mock interviews.
1. 3. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification to confirm the authenticity of their educational qualifications, age, caste, experience, and other claims made in the application form. Candidates must bring all original documents along with self-attested copies.
   • Required Documents: Educational Certificates (10th, 12th, Diploma, Degree, PG, ITI), Experience Certificates, Caste Certificate (if applicable), Domicile Certificate, Photo ID Proof (Aadhar/PAN/Voter ID), Passport-size photographs, PWD Certificate (if applicable).
   • Tip: Keep all original documents and multiple sets of photocopies ready. Ensure all information matches your application.
2. 4. Medical Examination: Finally, candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards required for the respective posts at SCL.
