SSC Constable GD Examination : Mode Of Selection

Stages of the Selection Process

  1. Computer Based Examination (CBE): This is the first stage, comprising an objective-type written test. Candidates must qualify in this exam to proceed to subsequent stages.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Qualified candidates from the CBE will undergo PET to assess their physical endurance through specified running tasks.
  3. Physical Standards Test (PST): Candidates clearing PET will proceed to PST for measurement of their height, chest (for male candidates), and weight as per the prescribed standards.
  4. Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates from PET/PST will have their original documents verified. This includes educational certificates (Class 10th mark sheet/certificate), caste/category certificates (if applicable), domicile certificate, ID proof, and other relevant documents as per the official notification.
  5. Detailed Medical Examination (DME): This final stage evaluates candidates’ physical and medical fitness to ensure they meet the stringent medical standards required for recruitment into the various forces.
