    • General Engineering (Civil & Structural / Electrical / Mechanical): 100 Questions, 100 Marks
    • Total: 200 Questions, 200 Marks. Duration: 2 Hours. Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
    • Syllabus: Includes topics from Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning, Current Affairs, History, Geography, Polity, Economics, and core engineering subjects (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) as per diploma level.
    • Paper-II (Conventional Type Written Examination):
      • General Engineering (Civil & Structural / Electrical / Mechanical): 300 Marks. Duration: 2 Hours.
      • This paper tests conceptual understanding and problem-solving abilities in the respective engineering discipline. It is descriptive in nature.
      • Syllabus: Detailed curriculum covers core engineering subjects relevant to Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical engineering disciplines, focusing on application and theoretical knowledge.

SSC JE Document Verification Process

  • Candidates who qualify in both Paper-I and Paper-II will be called for Document Verification (DV).

SSC Junior Engineer (JE) Examination 2025 : Mode Of Selection
  • Tier-I Examination: Computer Based Test (CBT) covering General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering. This is an objective-type paper.
  • Tier-II Examination: Conventional Type Paper (descriptive) in General Engineering (Civil/Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical). This tests the candidates’ in-depth knowledge and problem-solving skills in their respective fields.
  • Document Verification (DV): Candidates qualifying in both Tier-I and Tier-II will be called for Document Verification. Here, candidates must present all original educational, caste, age, and other relevant documents for verification.
  • Medical Examination: A medical examination will be conducted to ensure candidates meet the physical standards required for the respective posts.
  • Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on the cumulative performance in Tier-I and Tier-II Examinations, subject to successful Document Verification and Medical Examination. Post preferences submitted by candidates will be considered for final allocation.
