Age relaxation is provided as per UPPSC regulations for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024.

Selection Process
The selection process for UPPSC Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination 2024 comprises three progressive stages:
Preliminary Examination: This is a screening test consisting of two objective-type papers (General Studies Paper-I and General Studies Paper-II). Marks obtained in this stage are for shortlisting only and are not counted towards the final merit.
Main Written Examination: This is a descriptive type examination consisting of compulsory and optional papers. It assesses the candidate’s academic talent, comprehension, and ability to present knowledge in a clear and coherent manner. Marks from this stage are crucial for the final merit list.
Interview (Personality Test): Candidates shortlisted from the Mains Written Examination are called for an interview. This stage evaluates the candidate’s general awareness, intelligence, leadership qualities, character, expression, and personality suitable for public service.
Document Verification: Post-interview, successful candidates undergo a thorough document verification process where all original educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents are checked against the submitted application. Any discrepancy can lead to disqualification.
Medical Examination: Candidates finally selected after interview and document verification will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards for the respective posts.
How to Check & Download UPPSC PCS Marksheet 2026

Step 2 : On the homepage, navigate to the “Candidate Segment” or “Important Announcements” section.
Step 3 : Look for the link titled “Click here to download Marksheet for Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024” or similar.
Step 4 : You will be redirected to the login page. Enter your Registration Number, Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY), and/or Enrollment Number as required.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream from a university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government.
Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 21 Years and the maximum age limit is 40 Years as on 01 July 2024. This implies candidates must not have been born before 2nd July 1984 and not after 1st July 2003.
Age Relaxation: Category-wise age relaxation is applicable as per Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) rules. This includes candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC of Uttar Pradesh, physically handicapped persons, and state government employees.
Mains Examination Requirement: Only candidates who successfully qualify the Preliminary Examination are eligible to fill out the application form for the Mains Examination.

UPPSC PCS 2024 : Mode Of Selection
The selection for the UPPSC Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination 2024 is based on a comprehensive three-stage process:
