Exam Pattern- The UPSC CMS Examination typically comprises two objective-type papers (Paper-I and Paper-II) and a Personality Test.
- Paper-I (General Medicine & Paediatrics): This paper covers topics such as Cardiology, Respiratory Diseases, Gastro-intestinal, Genito-Urinary, Neurology, Haematology, Endocrinology, Metabolic Diseases, Infections, Nutrition, Skin, Musculoskeletal System, Psychiatry, Emergency Medicine, and Common Childhood Diseases including Immunization.
- Paper-II (Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Preventive & Social Medicine): This paper includes General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Anaesthesia, Traumatology, Urology, Neuro-surgery, Ophthalmology, Otorhinolaryngology, Dentistry, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, and Preventive & Social Medicine.
