Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Recruitment Test (RT) / Written Exam: This is typically an objective-type, multiple-choice question (MCQ) based examination. The test serves to short-list suitable candidates for the interview stage. The syllabus generally covers subjects such as General English, Indian Freedom Struggle, Current Events and Developmental Issues, Indian Polity & Economy, General Accounting Principles, Industrial Relations & Labour Laws, General Science & Computer Applications, General Mental Ability & Quantitative Aptitude, and Social Security in India. Candidates should focus on a thorough understanding of these topics and practice previous year’s papers.
  • Stage 2: Interview: Candidates who qualify the Recruitment Test will be called for a personal interview. The interview assesses a candidate’s personality, communication skills, general awareness, aptitude for the role, and suitability for public service. It is crucial to be well-versed with current affairs, the functions of EPFO, and general knowledge.
  • Stage 3: Document Verification (DV): After the interview, provisionally selected candidates undergo document verification. All original certificates related to educational qualifications, age proof, caste/category (if applicable), experience (if any), and identity proof must be produced. Ensure all documents are authentic and align with the details provided in the application form to avoid disqualification.
  • Stage 4: Medical Examination: Finally, selected candidates may be required to undergo a medical examination to ascertain their physical and mental fitness for the respective posts as per the prescribed standards of the Union Public Service Commission for Central Government services.
