Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria (As On 01 August 2025)- Minimum Age : 20 Years
- Maximum Age (UR Male) : 37 Years
- Maximum Age (UR Female) : 40 Years
- Maximum Age (BC/ EBC Male, Female) : 40 Years
- Maximum Age (SC/ ST Male, Female) : 42 Years
- Age relaxation is provided by Bihar BPSSC for the Police SI position as per government regulations.
- Educational Qualification: Candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate level) in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. The degree should be obtained on or before the last date of application (26 October 2025). Candidates awaiting final year/semester results are not eligible unless they can provide proof of graduation at the time of document verification.

How to Check Mains Exam Date & Download Admit Card- Step 1 : Visit the official website of the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSSC): https://bpssc.bihar.gov.in/
- Step 2 : On the homepage, navigate to the “Notices / Important Announcements” section.
- Step 3 : Look for the link titled “Bihar Police SI Mains Exam Date 2026” or “Download Mains Admit Card for Advt. No. 05/2025” and click on it.
- Step 4 : Open the official exam notice PDF to confirm the date and other instructions. For admit card, you will be redirected to a login page.
- Step 5 : Enter your credentials such as your Enrollment Number, Registration Number, or Date of Birth as required.
- Step 6 : Click on the ‘Submit’ or ‘Login’ button. Your Mains Admit Card will appear on the screen.
- Step 7 : Download and take at least two printouts of your admit card for future reference and exam day.

Bihar Police SI Mains Exam Pattern- The Mains Written Examination consists of two papers, both objective type (Multiple Choice Questions).
- Paper I: General Hindi
- Total Marks: 100
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Qualifying Marks: 30% (Marks obtained in this paper will not be counted for merit list)
- Paper II: General Studies
- Total Marks: 200
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Subjects Covered: General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics, Mental Ability Test.
- Negative Marking: 0.2 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
- Marks from this paper will determine the merit list.
- Both papers will be conducted in an offline (written) mode.

What to Carry to the Bihar Police SI Mains Exam- Printed Admit Card: Two copies of the downloaded Mains Admit Card with a clear photograph.
- Valid Photo ID Proof: Original valid photo identification such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, or Passport.
- Passport-size Photographs: Two recent passport-size photographs (preferably the same as uploaded in the application form).
- Blue/Black Ballpoint Pen: For marking answers on the OMR sheet.
- Water Bottle: A transparent water bottle (optional).
- Important Note: Electronic gadgets, mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, or any study material are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
