Short Information :The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has opened the correction/edit window for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2026. Candidates who have applied for the UPTET 2026 examination can now make necessary corrections to their application forms online until 08 May 2026. The examination is scheduled for 02, 03, and 04 July 2026. All applicants are advised to review their forms carefully and make corrections before the deadline to avoid any discrepancies.

How To Fill Uttar Pradesh TET Correction / Edit Form 2026

  • Step 1 : Visit the official website of UPTET / Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh, i.e., www.upessc.up.gov.in.
  • Step 2 : Look for the link “UPTET 2026 Correction / Edit Form” on the homepage and click on it.
  • Step 3 : A login page will appear. Enter your Registration Number, Password (or Date of Birth), and the Captcha Code as displayed.
  • Step 4 : Click on the “Login / Sign In” button to access your submitted application form.
  • Step 5 : Your application form will open. Review all details carefully.
  • Step 6 : Edit the allowed fields. Typically, you may be allowed to correct details such as:
    • Candidate’s Name (if permitted by the authority)
    • Father’s / Mother’s Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Gender
    • Category (e.g., General, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, PH)
    • Communication Address
    • Uploaded Photo / Signature (if a re-upload or correction option is provided)

UPTET 2026 : Eligibility Criteria
  • UPTET is an Eligibility Test: The Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for appointment as teachers for Class 1 to 8 in schools across Uttar Pradesh. It is not a recruitment examination for a fixed number of posts; instead, it provides a certificate of eligibility.
  • TET Primary Teacher (Class 1-5):
    • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a University recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and an institution recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).
    • Along with the Bachelor’s Degree, candidates must have a valid teacher training qualification such as a 2-year BTC (Basic Training Certificate), or a 4-year B.El.Ed (Bachelor of Elementary Education), or an equivalent qualification recognized by NCTE.
    • Candidates appearing in the final year of any of these teacher training programs are also eligible to apply.
    • Generally, a minimum of 50% marks in graduation or the relevant training program is required, though specific percentages might vary as per official notification and government rules.
    • TET Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6-8):
      • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks (or 45% in some cases as per government rules for specific categories) from an NCTE-recognized institution.
      • Alongside, a valid teacher training qualification such as a B.Ed (Bachelor of Education), BTC, B.El.Ed, or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
      • Final-year candidates of these teaching courses are also eligible.
      • Additionally, candidates with specialized education qualifications (e.g., B.Ed in Special Education) from Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)-recognized institutes are also eligible.
      • In some cases, candidates with 50% marks in Intermediate (10+2) and a 4-year integrated teaching program (e.g., BA-B.Ed / B.Sc-B.Ed) can also apply.

UPTET 2026 : Mode Of Selection
  • Written Examination: The selection process for UPTET 2026 is based solely on a written examination. This examination comprises two papers:
    • Paper I: For candidates aspiring to teach Class 1 to 5 (Primary Level).
    • Paper II: For candidates aspiring to teach Class 6 to 8 (Upper Primary Level).

    Candidates can appear for either Paper I, Paper II, or both, depending on their eligibility and aspiration. Both papers consist of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and are generally of 150 marks each, with a duration of 2.5 hours. There is typically no negative marking in UPTET.

    • Qualifying Marks: Candidates must achieve the minimum qualifying marks (generally 60% for General category and 55% for reserved categories) to be declared UPTET qualified.
