Minimum Age : 18 Years as on 01 August 2026.
Maximum Age (General Male) : 37 Years as on 01 August 2026.
Maximum Age (General Female, ST, SC (Male & Female)) : 40 Years as on 01 August 2026.
Age Relaxation : Age relaxation for candidates belonging to reserved categories (e.g., OBC, EBC) will be applicable as per Bihar Vidhan Sabha rules and Government of Bihar regulations. Candidates must refer to the official notification for detailed category-wise age relaxation provisions.
Eligibility Criteria : Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (Class 12th) examination in any subject from a board/council recognized by the State or Central Government, or an equivalent examination, by the last date of online application (06 December 2026).
Selection Process
Preliminary Examination (Pre Exam): This will likely be an objective-type (MCQ) screening test designed to shortlist candidates for the Main Examination. The syllabus generally covers General Studies, General Science, Mathematics, and Reasoning.
Main Examination (Mains Exam): Candidates who qualify the Preliminary Exam will appear for the Mains. This stage may consist of multiple papers, including both objective and descriptive types, assessing subjects like General Hindi, General English, General Knowledge, and Computer Knowledge. A merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the Mains Examination.
Interview (Viva-Voce): Shortlisted candidates from the Mains Examination will be called for an interview. This round evaluates the candidate’s communication skills, general awareness, personality, and suitability for the post.
Document Verification: Candidates provisionally selected after the interview stage will undergo document verification. Original certificates related to educational qualifications, age, caste, domicile, and other relevant documents will be thoroughly checked against the information provided in the application form.
Medical Examination: A final medical examination will be conducted to ensure that selected candidates meet the prescribed physical and medical standards required for government service.
