BPSC 70th CCE : Mode Of Selection
  • The selection process for the BPSC 70th Combined Competitive Examination involves multiple stages to assess candidates’ comprehensive knowledge and suitability for administrative roles.
  • Preliminary Examination (Prelims): This is the first stage, serving as a screening test. It consists of objective-type questions (General Studies) and is qualifying in nature. Marks obtained in Prelims are not counted towards the final merit list.
  • Main Examination (Mains): Candidates who qualify in the Prelims proceed to the Mains examination. This is a descriptive-type examination comprising several papers, including General Hindi (qualifying), General Studies Papers I & II, Essay, and an optional subject. Marks from the Mains examination are crucial for the final merit list.
  • Interview (Personality Test): Candidates who clear the Mains examination are called for an interview. This stage assesses the candidate’s personality, communication skills, general awareness, and suitability for public service.
  • Document Verification (DV): After the interview, selected candidates undergo document verification where all original certificates and documents related to educational qualifications, age, caste, etc., are checked against the submitted application.
