How to Download BPSC 71st Mains Admit Card 2026

  • Step 1 : Visit the official website of the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) at https://bpsc.bihar.gov.in/.
  • Step 2 : On the homepage, navigate to the “Admit Card” section or look for the direct link titled “BPSC 71st Combined Competitive Examination (Mains) Admit Card 2026”.
  • Step 3 : Click on the admit card download link, which will redirect you to the login portal (bpsconline.bihar.gov.in/candidate/login).
  • Step 4 : Enter your login details, which typically include your Registration / Application Number and Date of Birth / Password / Security Pin.
  • Step 5 : Carefully enter the Security Pin (Captcha) as displayed on the screen and click on the “Submit” or “Login” button.
  • Step 6 : Your BPSC 71st Mains Admit Card will appear on your screen. Review all the details for accuracy.
  • Step 7 : Download the admit card and take at least two to three printouts for examination use and future reference. It is mandatory to carry a printed copy to the exam hall.

BPSC Mains Exam Pattern

  • The BPSC Mains examination is a descriptive-type test consisting of five papers.
  • General Hindi: 100 Marks, 3 Hours. This paper is qualifying in nature, and candidates must secure a minimum of 30% marks. Its marks are not counted for the final merit list.
  • General Studies Paper-I: 300 Marks, 3 Hours. This paper covers topics such as Modern History of India and Indian Culture, Current Events of National and International Importance, and Statistical Analysis, Diagrams, and Graphs.
  • General Studies Paper-II: 300 Marks, 3 Hours. This paper includes topics like Indian Polity, Indian Economy and Geography of India, and the Role and Impact of Science and Technology in the Development of India.
  • Essay: 300 Marks, 3 Hours. Candidates are required to write essays on given topics to assess their comprehensive understanding and writing skills.
  • Optional Subject: 300 Marks, 3 Hours. Candidates choose one optional subject from a list provided in the official notification. This paper is also descriptive.
  • Total Marks for Merit Calculation: The marks obtained in General Studies Paper-I, General Studies Paper-II, Essay, and the Optional Subject (total 900 marks) will be considered for the final merit list.
  • Negative Marking: There is no negative marking in the BPSC Mains descriptive examination.

What to Carry to Exam

  • Printed Admit Card: A clear printout of your BPSC 71st Mains Admit Card is mandatory. Digital copies are not accepted.
