Minimum Age : 22 Years
Maximum Age (UR-Male) : 37 Years(Corrected from source content which incorrectly stated “Minimum Age”)
Maximum Age (UR-Female) : 40 Years
Maximum Age (BC/ EBC-Male & Female) : 40 Years
Maximum Age (SC/ ST-Male & Female) : 42 Years
Age relaxation for reserved categories is provided by Bihar BPSC as per government regulations.
Eligibility Criteria for Vice Principal ITI:
Candidates must possess a regular (not distance learning) degree in Engineering such as B.Tech., B.E., B.Sc. Engg., or B.S. from an AICTE-approved Indian university or a UGC-recognized deemed university.
Alternatively, an M.Tech., M.E., or M.S. degree in a regular technical course is also considered valid.
Work or teaching experience with a relevant qualification is not mandatory but will be considered for extra marks as a desirable qualification. Candidates with relevant experience may gain an advantage in the selection process.
BPSC Vice Principal ITI : Mode Of Selection
Written Examination: The first stage of selection involves a written examination. Candidates must qualify this exam to be eligible for further stages. The exam assesses candidates’ knowledge and aptitude relevant to the Vice Principal position.
Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted based on the written exam results are called for Document Verification. This crucial stage ensures that all applicants meet the prescribed eligibility criteria by verifying their original academic, experience, and other essential certificates.
Mandatory Documents to Carry for DV:
Printed Copy of the Online Application Form.
Admit Card for the BPSC Vice Principal ITI Written Examination.
Original and Self-Attested Photocopies of all Educational Certificates (Matriculation, Intermediate, Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Master’s Degree if applicable).
Mark Sheets of all semesters/years for relevant Engineering Degrees.
Experience Certificates (if any, as claimed in the application form for desirable qualification).
Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/BC/EBC candidates of Bihar, issued by competent authority).
Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) Certificate (for BC/EBC candidates of Bihar).
Recent Passport Size Photographs (usually 4-6 copies, matching the one uploaded in the application).
Duly filled Prapatra-I and Prapatra-II (links provided in the Important Links section, to be filled and submitted at the time of DV).

Interview: Candidates who successfully clear the Document Verification stage are invited for a personal interview. The interview panel assesses the candidate’s communication skills, technical knowledge, leadership qualities, problem-solving ability, and overall suitability for the administrative role of Vice Principal in an ITI.
