How to Download Admit Card
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) at upsc.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, navigate to the “Examination” section and then look for the “Admit Card” or “e-Admit Card” link.
Step 3: Click on the link specifically for “IES/ISS Examination 2026 Admit Card”.
Step 4: You will be redirected to the login page. Enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password as required.
Step 5: After entering the correct credentials, click on the “Submit” or “Login” button. Your Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.

What to Carry to Exam
Printed Admit Card: A clear printout of your e-Admit Card downloaded from the UPSC website.
Original Photo ID Proof: A valid original photo identity card such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter ID Card, etc., matching the details on your admit card.
Photographs: Two recent passport-size photographs (preferably the same as uploaded during application).
Pen: A black ballpoint pen for writing the descriptive answers.
Water Bottle: A transparent water bottle, if needed.
Prohibited Items: Electronic gadgets, mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators (unless specifically permitted for certain papers), study material, books, or any other unauthorized items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.

Educational Qualification:
Indian Economic Service (IES): Candidates must have passed or be appearing in a Post Graduate Degree in Economics, Business Economics, or Econometrics from any University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.
Indian Statistical Service (ISS): Candidates must have passed or be appearing in a Bachelor’s Degree with Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University OR must have passed or be appearing in a Master’s Degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or Applied Statistics from a recognized university.

UPSC IES/ISS Examination 2026 : Mode Of Selection
Written Examination: The first stage involves a comprehensive written examination. Candidates need to secure qualifying marks in these papers to proceed to the next stage.
Interview (Personality Test): Candidates who qualify the written examination based on the merit list are called for an Interview. This stage assesses the candidate’s general awareness, intellectual abilities, communication skills, and overall suitability for the respective services.
