Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria- Age Limits : NA (As per previous notifications, there is no upper age limit to appear for HTET. Minimum age is 18 years.)

- Level 1 (Primary Teacher – PRT) Eligibility:
- 10+2 Intermediate with 50% Marks AND Passed / Appearing 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Education / B.E.Ed OR
- 10+2 Intermediate with 45% Marks AND Passed / Appearing 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Education / B.E.Ed (as per NCTE norms 2007) OR
- Bachelor Degree in Any Stream AND Passed / Appearing 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education / Special Education / B.E.Ed
- Level 2 (TGT Teacher) Eligibility:
- Bachelor Degree in Any Stream with 50% Marks AND 2 Year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- Bachelor Degree with 50% Marks AND B.Ed / Special B.Ed Degree OR
- 10+2 with 50% Marks AND 4 Year BA B.Ed / B.Com B.Ed Degree.

- Level 3 (PGT Lecturer) Eligibility:
- Master Degree in Concerned Subject with 50% Marks AND B.Ed Degree.

Mode of Selection- Written Examination: Candidates will appear for a written test (HTET) as per their chosen level (PRT, TGT, PGT). This is a qualifying examination.
- Document Verification: Candidates who qualify the HTET examination will be eligible to apply for teaching positions in various schools. At the time of recruitment by respective bodies, their documents will be verified. This includes educational qualifications, caste certificates, age proof, etc., to ensure they meet all eligibility criteria.
- Medical Examination: After qualifying and being provisionally selected for a teaching post, candidates may undergo a medical examination to ensure they are physically fit for the duties of a teacher, as per the rules of the recruiting authority.

Exam Pattern- Examination Mode: Offline (Pen & Paper Based)
- Type of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
- Total Questions: 150 questions for each level.
- Total Marks: 150 marks for each level.
- Marking Scheme: 1 mark for each correct answer.
- Negative Marking: There is NO negative marking for incorrect answers.
- Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes (150 minutes) for each level.

What to Carry to Exam- Printed Admit Card: A clear printout of your HTET Admit Card once released (usually 2-3 copies).
- Valid Photo ID Proof: Original, valid government-issued photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Passport, or Driving License.
- Passport Size Photographs: Two recent passport-size photographs (matching the one uploaded in the application form).
- Pen: A blue/black ballpoint pen for marking answers on the OMR sheet.
- Water Bottle: A transparent water bottle (optional).
- Prohibited Items: Electronic gadgets (mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators), study material, eatables, or any other unauthorized items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall.
