Short Information :The Indian Army has released a notification for the NCC 125th Special Entry Scheme April 2027 Course for unmarried men and women. This is a Short Service Commission (NT) entry for eligible NCC ‘C’ certificate holders and Wards of Battle Casualties. Online applications will commence from 20 July 2026. Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Age : 19 Years
  • Maximum Age : 25 Years
  • Age Calculation: As on 01 January 2027. Candidates born not earlier than 02 January 2002 and not later than 01 January 2008, both dates inclusive.
  • Age Relaxation: Indian Army provides age relaxation for the NCC 125th Course April 2027 position as per their regulations for specific categories.
  • Eligibility Criteria Details:
    • For NCC ‘C’ Certificate Holders (Men & Women):
      • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
      • NCC Service: Should have served for a minimum of two/three years (as applicable for different NCC wings) in the Senior Division/Wing of NCC.
      • NCC ‘C’ Certificate: Must possess an NCC ‘C’ Certificate of minimum ‘B’ Grade at the time of application.
      • Final Year Candidates: Candidates appearing in the final year of their Degree Examination are also eligible to apply, provided they submit proof of passing the Degree Examination with the requisite percentage of marks and NCC ‘C’ Certificate at the time of the SSB Interview.
      • For Wards of Battle Casualties of Army Personnel (Men & Women):
      • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
      • NCC ‘C’ Certificate: Not required for this specific category.
      • Proof of Ward: Should produce a Battle Casualty Certificate from the Adjutant General’s Branch, IHQ of MoD (Army).

Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Shortlisting of Applications: Applications received will be shortlisted by the Recruiting Directorate, Integrated HQ of MoD (Army). Shortlisting criteria are generally based on the aggregate percentage of marks obtained in the degree examination and the NCC ‘C’ Certificate grade. Higher grades and percentages usually receive preference. Shortlisted candidates will be intimated via email/SMS for their SSB interview dates.
  • Stage 2: SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a five-day Services Selection Board (SSB) Interview. This rigorous assessment is conducted at one of the designated Selection Centres: Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka), or Kapurthala (Punjab). The SSB process is divided into two stages:
    • Stage I (Screening): Consists of Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) Tests and Picture Perception & Description Test (PP&DT). Candidates failing to clear Stage I are returned on the same day.
    • Stage II (Psychological and Group Tasks): For candidates who clear Stage I, this stage involves Psychological Tests, Group Testing Officer (GTO) tasks, a Personal Interview, and a final Conference. This stage spans four days.
    • Stage 3: Medical Examination: Candidates who successfully qualify in the SSB interview will be subjected to a detailed medical examination by a Medical Board. Fitness as per prescribed medical standards is mandatory for selection.
