The Madhya Pradesh Employee Selection Board (MPESB) has released a notification for the recruitment of MP Police Constable (Driver) positions in 2026. A total of 1000 vacancies are announced. Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed 10th Standard from a recognized board.
For ST candidates, an 8th Standard pass from a recognized board is acceptable.
Driving License: Candidates must possess a valid Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) or Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) Driving License. This is a mandatory requirement for the Constable (Driver) post.
Selection Process
Stage 1: Written Exam: This will be an objective type test conducted online or offline (as specified in the official notification). It will assess candidates’ general knowledge, reasoning ability, mathematics, and science. The exact syllabus and exam pattern (number of questions, marks, duration, negative marking, etc.) will be detailed in the official rulebook.
Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Proficiency Test (PPT):
PST: Candidates must meet prescribed physical standards such as height and chest measurements.
PPT: Candidates will undergo various physical tasks like running, long jump, and shot put to assess their physical fitness. Specific criteria for these tests will be available in the detailed notification.
Stage 3: Trade Test (Driving Test): As this is a Constable Driver post, candidates will be required to undergo a practical driving test to assess their driving skills and familiarity with traffic rules and vehicle maintenance. This test is qualifying in nature.
Stage 5: Medical Examination: Candidates who clear all previous stages will undergo a medical examination to ensure they are physically and mentally fit for the duties of a police constable.
