Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

  • Minimum Age : 18 Years
  • Maximum Age : 28 Years as on 16 August 2026
  • ISRO provides age relaxation for the Assistant & Junior Personal Assistant position as per their regulations.
  • Assistant/UDC Eligibility: Candidates must have a Graduation degree with at least 60% marks or a minimum CGPA of 6.32/10, completed within the prescribed duration, along with proficiency in computer operations.
  • Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer Eligibility: Candidates must have a Graduation or Diploma in Commercial/Secretarial Practice with at least 60% marks, 1 year of experience as a Steno-Typist/Stenographer, English stenography speed of 60 w.p.m., and computer proficiency.

Selection Process

  • Stage 1: Written Examination (Preliminary & Main): Candidates will undergo a multi-stage written test. The Preliminary exam serves as a screening test to filter candidates for the Main exam. The Main exam will be comprehensive, testing General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. Candidates should focus on improving both speed and accuracy for these tests.
  • Stage 2: Skill Test / Group Exercise / Interview:
    • For Assistant/UDC: This stage may include a Computer Literacy Test or other specific skill assessments relevant to the administrative role, designed to check practical abilities.
    • For Junior Personal Assistant / Stenographer: A mandatory English Stenography Test will be conducted to assess typing speed and accuracy (60 words per minute required).
    • A Group Exercise and Interview will follow, evaluating communication skills, problem-solving aptitude, leadership qualities, and overall suitability for the demanding roles within ISRO.
    • Stage 3: Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present all original documents for verification. This includes educational certificates (mark sheets, degrees), age proof (matriculation certificate), caste/category certificates (if applicable), experience certificates, and any other relevant testimonials.
