Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Maximum Age : 40 Years
• Age Relaxation : Age relaxation is provided as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules for various reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) as outlined in UPSSSC Advertisement No.-13-Exam/2024, Stenographer Main Examination 2024. Candidates are strongly advised to refer to the official notification PDF for detailed information regarding age relaxation.
• Eligibility Criteria for Stenographer (Advt. No. 13-Exam/2024):
• Candidates must possess a valid UPSSSC PET 2023 Score Card. Shortlisting for the Main Examination will be based on this score, making PET a mandatory prerequisite.
• Must have passed the 10+2 Intermediate Examination (or equivalent) from a recognized board in India.
• Proficiency in Hindi Stenography with a speed of 80 Words Per Minute (WPM) is mandatory. This speed will be tested in the skill test.
• Proficiency in Hindi Typing with a speed of 25 Words Per Minute (WPM) is mandatory. Accuracy along with speed is crucial.
• Must possess a NIELIT CCC (Course on Computer Concepts) Exam Passed Certificate or an equivalent computer proficiency qualification recognized by the government.

How to Check UPSSSC Stenographer Result 2026

• Step 1 : Visit the official website of the Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) at upsssc.gov.in.
• Step 2 : On the homepage, navigate to the “Result” / “Notifications” / “Latest Updates” section. Look for the link related to “UPSSSC Stenographer Main Examination 2024 Result” or “UPSSSC Stenographer Result 2026”.
• Step 3 : Click on the designated Result link. This will typically lead you to a login page or directly open a PDF file.
• Step 4 : If prompted, enter your credentials such as your Registration Number, Enrollment Number, and Date of Birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format) as required for login.
• Step 5 : After successful login, your result/scorecard will be displayed on the screen. If it’s a PDF, it will open directly.
• Step 6 : Download and save the Result PDF or scorecard to your device for future reference.

UPSSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024 : Mode Of Selection

• 1. Shortlisting Based on UP PET 2023 Score : Candidates were initially shortlisted for the Main Examination based on their scores in the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET) 2023. Only candidates meeting the prescribed PET cutoff were eligible to apply for the Stenographer Main Examination.
• 2. Written Examination : Eligible candidates appeared for a comprehensive written examination designed to assess their general knowledge, Hindi comprehension, and other relevant subjects. Performance in this exam is a key determinant for further selection and merit listing.
• 3. Skill Test (Stenography & Typing Test) : Candidates who qualify the written examination will be called for a Stenography (shorthand) and Hindi Typing Test. This crucial stage assesses the candidate’s practical proficiency in shorthand writing at 80 WPM and Hindi typing at 25 WPM, along with a strict check on accuracy.
• 4. Document Verification (DV) : Candidates qualifying both the written exam and skill test will undergo a thorough document verification process. It is mandatory to present all original educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates (if applicable), and other relevant documents for verification against the details provided in the application form. Any discrepancy or false information may lead to immediate disqualification.
• 5. Medical Examination : Finally, shortlisted candidates who successfully clear all preceding stages will be subjected to a medical examination. This is to ensure that they meet the prescribed physical and medical standards required for the post of Stenographer as per government norms and fitness criteria.
