Candidates must possess a 04 Years Bachelor Degree in Planning from any recognized University in India OR
A Post Graduate (PG) Degree in Town / Urban / Regional / Housing / Rural / Infrastructure / Transport / Environment Planning, Landscape Architecture, or Urban Design from any recognized University in India.
Additionally, candidates must have successfully passed the Associate Institute of Town Planners (AITP) Examination.
Selection Process

MPPSC Assistant Town Planner : Eligibility Criteria
Bachelor Degree in Planning: Candidates must hold a 4-year full-time Bachelor’s degree in Planning (B.Plan or equivalent) from a university or institution recognized by the Government of India. This foundational degree is crucial for understanding the principles and practices of urban and regional planning.
Post Graduate Degree: Alternatively, candidates with a Post Graduate (PG) degree in any of the following specialized fields are eligible: Town Planning, Urban Planning, Regional Planning, Housing Planning, Rural Planning, Infrastructure Planning, Transport Planning, Environment Planning, Landscape Architecture, or Urban Design. This PG degree must also be from a recognized Indian University.
AITP Exam Passed: In addition to the academic qualifications, all applicants are required to have successfully passed the examination conducted by the Associate Institute of Town Planners (AITP) in India. This certification signifies professional competence in town planning.
MPPSC Assistant Town Planner Recruitment 2026 : Mode Of Selection
