Age Relaxation : Age relaxation is provided as per Railway regulations for SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), and PWD (10 years) candidates. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for complete details.
Apprentice (Fresher) : Candidates must have Passed Class 10th with at least 50% marks (aggregate) and should have studied Science or Math in Class 12th.
Ex-ITI : Candidates must have Passed Class 10th with at least 50% marks (aggregate) and completed a 2-year ITI certificate in the relevant trade from an NCVT/SCVT recognized institution. Specific trade details must be checked in the official notification.
MLT / PASAA (Fresher) / MLT / PASAA (Ex-ITI) : For these specific posts, candidates must refer to the detailed official notification for precise eligibility requirements.
Selection Process
Merit List : The initial selection will be based on a merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the 10th standard examination. For Ex-ITI candidates, marks obtained in the ITI trade will also be considered, often with specific weightage for academic and technical qualifications. No written examination is generally conducted for apprentice positions; selection is primarily merit-based.
Document Verification (DV) : Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the merit list will be called for Document Verification. It is crucial to present all original documents along with self-attested copies for verification. Failure to produce required documents will lead to disqualification.
Medical Examination : After successful document verification, candidates will undergo a prescribed medical examination to ensure they meet the physical standards for the apprenticeship training. This is a mandatory stage to confirm physical fitness.
Final Merit List : A final merit list will be prepared based on the performance in the merit assessment, successful document verification, and medical fitness.
