Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must fulfill the following educational and preliminary examination requirements:
UPSSSC PET 2025: Candidates must have appeared in the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UPSSSC PET) 2025 and possess a valid score. Shortlisting for the Mains Examination will be based on the PET 2025 score.
Intermediate (10+2) in Biology Group: Candidates must have passed their 10+2 (Intermediate) examination with Biology as a compulsory subject from a recognized board in India.
2-Year Livestock Extension Diploma: A two-year diploma in Livestock Extension from a recognized Veterinary University or College is mandatory.
Knowledge of Hindi: Candidates must have a working knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script.

Selection Process
The selection process for UPSSSC Livestock Extension Officer Recruitment 2026 will involve multiple stages designed to assess candidates’ aptitude and suitability for the post:
Stage 1: UP PET 2025 Shortlisting: Initially, candidates will be shortlisted for the Mains Examination based on their scores obtained in the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025. Only candidates who meet the cut-off determined by UPSSSC will be eligible to proceed to the next stage.
Stage 2: Mains Examination: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a competitive Mains Examination. This written exam will cover relevant subjects and assess knowledge specific to the Livestock Extension Officer role. The exam pattern and detailed syllabus will be released along with or after the official notification. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly based on expected topics related to Animal Husbandry, General Knowledge, General Hindi, and Reasoning.
