Stages of Selection:
Application Scrutiny: All online applications received will undergo initial scrutiny to ensure they meet the basic eligibility criteria and are complete in all respects.
Preparation of Merit List: A merit list will be generated based on the marks obtained by the candidates in their 10th standard examination (for Fresher trades) or 10th standard plus ITI marks (for Ex-ITI trades). Equal weightage will typically be given to 10th class marks and ITI marks for Ex-ITI candidates. For Fresher (MLT) candidates, 12th class marks will be considered.
Document Verification (DV): Candidates shortlisted on the basis of the merit list, usually 1.5 times the number of vacancies, will be called for Document Verification. It is mandatory for candidates to produce all original certificates/documents (educational qualification, caste certificate, age proof, PwBD certificate, etc.) along with self-attested photocopies. Failure to produce original documents will lead to disqualification.
Medical Examination: Candidates who successfully clear the Document Verification stage will be required to undergo a medical examination as per the standards prescribed by the Railway Administration for engagement as apprentices.
