Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria as on 01 August 2026

• Minimum Age : 28 – 30 Years (Post Wise)
• Maximum Age : 30 – 42 Years (Post Wise)
• Age Relaxation : As per Bank of India BOI recruitment rules. Candidates belonging to reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) will be eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India guidelines.
• Total Post : 205 Posts for Specialist Officer (SO) various cadres.
• Educational Qualification : Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree / CA / ICWA / Engineering Degree / Law Degree in relevant disciplines from a recognized University or Institution. Selection Process for BOI SO Recruitment 2026

• Online Examination : This is the initial stage where candidates will be tested on various subjects, typically including Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness (with special reference to Banking Industry), and Professional Knowledge relevant to the specific SO post. The exam will be objective type. Candidates need to secure minimum qualifying marks in each section and overall to be shortlisted for the interview.
• Interview : Candidates who qualify in the online examination will be called for an interview. The interview assesses a candidate’s communication skills, general awareness, personality, problem-solving abilities, and suitability for the role. This stage holds significant weight in the final selection. Prepare by staying updated on current affairs, banking knowledge, and practicing common interview questions.
• Final Selection : The final selection will be based on the combined performance in the Online Examination and the Interview. A merit list will be prepared based on the cumulative scores.
• Medical Examination : Provisionally selected candidates will undergo a medical examination to ensure they meet the prescribed health standards of the Bank. This is a mandatory stage for final appointment.
