Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria- Age Limit as on 23 May 2025:
- Minimum Age : 18 Years
- Maximum Age for Male Candidates : 37 Years
- Maximum Age for Female Candidates : 40 Years
- Age relaxation is applicable as per Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) rules and regulations.
- Eligibility Criteria (Total 11,389 Posts for Staff Nurse):
- Candidates must possess a B.Sc Nursing degree from any university or institution recognized by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) or State Nursing Council.
- Alternatively, candidates holding a Diploma/Certificate in Nursing (e.g., GNM – General Nursing and Midwifery) from a recognized university or college are also eligible.
- It is mandatory for all applicants to be registered with the State Nursing Council of Bihar or any other Indian state.
- Applicants are strongly advised to refer to the official notification (Advt. No. 23/2025) for detailed eligibility requirements, including specific duration of courses or any other conditions, before applying or raising objections.

How to File DV Objection for Bihar BTSC Staff Nurse 2026- Step 1 : Visit the official website of the Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) at https://btsc.bihar.gov.in/.
- Step 2 : Navigate to the ‘Latest Updates’ or ‘Important Notices’ section on the homepage and look for the link related to “Staff Nurse DV Objection 2026” or “Online DV Objection Portal”.
- Step 3 : Click on the provided “Online DV Objection Link”. This will typically lead you to a login page.
- Step 4 : Enter your required credentials such as your Application/Registration Number, Date of Birth, and Password to log in to the objection portal.
- Step 5 : Carefully review your Document Verification status, provisional list entries, and any remarks made by the commission. Identify the specific discrepancy or objection you wish to raise.
- Step 6 : Follow the on-screen instructions to select the type of objection, provide detailed reasons, and upload necessary supporting documents (e.g., original certificates, revised mark sheets, valid proofs) to substantiate your claim.
- Step 7 : After ensuring all details are correct and documents are uploaded, submit your objection form. It is highly recommended to take a printout or save the PDF of your submitted objection for future reference.

Selection Process for Bihar BTSC Staff Nurse 2025-26- Written Examination: The initial stage of the selection process involved a Computer Based Test (CBT). This exam assessed candidates’ knowledge in subjects relevant to the Staff Nurse role, including General Knowledge, Aptitude, and Nursing-specific topics.
- Interview (Viva-Voce): Candidates who successfully cleared the written examination were shortlisted for an interview. This round evaluates a candidate’s communication skills, problem-solving abilities, professional conduct, and in-depth understanding of nursing principles.
- Document Verification (DV): After the interview, candidates were called for Document Verification. This is a critical stage where all original documents submitted during the application process (such as educational qualification certificates, age proof, caste certificate, domicile certificate, and registration with the State Nursing Council) are thoroughly checked for authenticity and accuracy. A provisional merit list is often released after this stage, allowing candidates to raise objections if any discrepancies or errors are found.
- Medical Examination: The final stage of selection is a comprehensive medical fitness examination. This ensures that the selected candidates meet the required physical and health standards to perform the duties of a Staff Nurse effectively.
