Age Limit & Eligibility Criteria

• Minimum Age : 21 Years (as on 01 July 2026)
• Maximum Age : 40 Years (as on 01 July 2026)
• Age Relaxation Extra As Per Rules Of UPSSSC Bharti 2026 (Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted age relaxation as per Uttar Pradesh Government rules).
• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have:
  • Successfully qualified UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025.
  • Possess a B.Sc. Degree in Biology, Forensic Science, Physics, or Chemistry from a recognized university.
  • Alternatively, possess a B.Tech Degree in a relevant engineering branch.
  • Alternatively, possess a B.Sc. Degree or an ‘A’ Level Diploma in Computer Science.
  • Specific post-wise detailed eligibility should be thoroughly checked in the Official Notification.

• Lab Assistant (Laboratory Assistant) (Special Recruitment) : 05 Posts

Selection Process

• Stage 1: UP PET 2025 Shortlisting: Candidates will be initially shortlisted based on their valid scores obtained in the Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET) 2025. Only candidates meeting the cut-off determined by UPSSSC will be eligible for the subsequent stages.
• Stage 2: Mains Examination: Shortlisted candidates will appear for a Mains Written Examination. This exam will likely be an objective-type test designed to assess knowledge relevant to Forensic Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and General Knowledge. The detailed exam pattern, syllabus, and marking scheme will be released with the official notification.
• Stage 3: Document Verification (DV): Candidates qualifying the Mains Examination will be called for Document Verification. This stage involves the thorough scrutiny of original educational certificates (mark sheets, degrees), age proof, caste certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, and other essential documents. Discrepancies may lead to disqualification.
• Stage 4: Medical Test: A medical fitness test will be conducted to ensure candidates meet the prescribed physical and medical standards required for the Scientific Assistant and Laboratory Assistant posts as per UPSSSC guidelines.
• Stage 5: Final Merit List: A final merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in the Mains Examination, subject to successful completion of Document Verification and Medical Test.
