    • For Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police (SI DP): A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent is required. Additionally, a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) is mandatory for male candidates on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT). Female candidates are exempted from the driving license requirement.
    • For Sub-Inspector in CAPFs (SI CAPF – BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB): A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent from an Indian university is required.

SSC CPO SI Examination 2024 : Mode Of Selection

The selection process for SSC CPO SI is comprehensive and involves multiple stages designed to assess both the intellectual and physical capabilities of candidates. The stages are as follows:

  • Stage 1: Paper-I (Computer Based Examination – CBE): This is an objective multiple-choice examination covering four sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Comprehension. Each section carries 50 questions for 50 marks, making a total of 200 marks for 200 questions. The duration is 2 hours. Negative marking (0.25 marks) is applicable for each wrong answer.
  • Stage 2: Physical Standard Test (PST) & Physical Endurance Test (PET): Candidates who qualify Paper-I proceed to this stage.
    • PST (Physical Standard Test): Measures height, chest (for male candidates).
      • Male Height: 170 cm (relaxations for specified categories/regions)
      • Female Height: 157 cm (relaxations for specified categories/regions)
      • Male Chest: 80 cm (unexpanded) / 85 cm (expanded)
      • PET (Physical Endurance Test): Involves various physical tasks.
        • Male: 100 Meter Race (in 16 seconds), 1.6 Km Race (in 6.5 minutes), Long Jump (3.65 meters in 3 chances), High Jump (1.2 meters in 3 chances), Shot Put (16 Lbs, 4.5 meters in 3 chances).
        • Female: 100 Meter Race (in 18 seconds), 800 Meter Race (in 4 minutes), Long Jump (2.7 meters in 3 chances), High Jump (0.9 meters in 3 chances).
    • Stage 3: Paper-II (Computer Based Examination – CBE): Candidates who qualify PST/PET are eligible for Paper-II. This paper focuses on English Language & Comprehension, consisting of 200 objective multiple-choice questions for 200 marks, with a duration of 2 hours. Negative marking (0.25 marks) is applicable.
    • Stage 5: Document Verification (DV): Candidates found medically fit will be called for Document Verification. They must produce all original documents (educational certificates, age proof, caste certificates, driving license for Delhi SI male candidates, etc.) for verification.
    • Stage 6: Final Merit List: A final merit list is prepared based on the aggregate marks scored by candidates in Paper-I and Paper-II, subject to qualifying PST/PET and Medical Examination. Selection is made strictly on the basis of merit.

Pay Scale: Selected candidates for Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police & CAPFs will be offered a pay scale ranging from ₹24,050 – ₹64,480 + Special Allowances (as per Grade Pay and Pay Matrix Level-6, Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial), along with Dearness Allowance, Medical Benefits, and other perks as per government rules.
